Admittedly: I should have taken a closer look at the content of his show Willem. But I did not expect old Dutch songs. A bit tame and grinding slow. The second half of this show was dedicated to his new album. It's nice that Waylon finally has its own repertoire, but not my style. By the way, with one great song. A future number-one hit? I didn't need a performance lying on stage and crawling like he had a stomachache. Let's not forget that Waylon once again showed that he has a sense of humor and that he has a healthy dose of self-deprecation. All in all, disappointing. Toegegeven: ik had beter moeten kijken naar de inhoud van zijn show Willem. Maar oude Nederlandstalige liedjes had ik dan ook niet verwacht. Een beetje tam en slijpend traag. De tweede helft van deze show was gewijd aan zijn nieuwe alb um. Fijn dat Waylon eindelijk ook een eigen repertoire heeft, maar niet mijn stijl. Overigens met wel één steengoed nummer. Een toekomstige nummer-1 hit? Een optreden liggend op het toneel en kruipend alsof hij buikpijn had voor mij niet gehoeven. Laat onverlet dat Waylon weer eens liet zien dat hij humor heeft en dat hij over een gezonde portie zelfspot beschikt. Al met al teleurstellend.
