Incredibly great concerts, great sound and well organized.
Ongelooflijk goede concerten, goed geluid en goed georganiseerd.
Once again, the organization was well organized in the old-fashioned way. Concerts started on time and the sound was simply good, despite sporadically at too high a volume. Concerts that actually require hearing protection are not for me, as a jazz enthusiast. Too bad Joe Jackson didn't play Jumpin Jive and Toto didn't need to be programmed for me either (after all, not really innovative and/or jazz-oriented). I did like Chick Corea, Robert Glasper, Steve Gadd and, although it took some getting used to and persevering, Blood Orange. This time, however, I was more “bothered” by having to make too many difficult choices about concerts that were programmed in parallel. Organisatie was weer ouderwets goed geregeld. Concerten begonnen op tijd en het geluid was simpelweg goed te noemen, ondanks sporadisch op een te hoog volume. Concerten waar feitelijk gehoorbescherming nodig is zijn aan mij, als jazz liefhebber, niet besteed. Jammer dat Joe Jackson niets van Jumpin Jive speelde en ook Toto had van mij niet geprogrammeerd hoeven staan (immers niet echt vernieuwend en/of jazz georiënteerd). Wel opvallend goed vond ik Chick Corea, Robert Glasper, Steve Gadd en, hoewel even wennen en doorbijten, Blood Orange. Dit keer had ik wel meer "last" van dat ik te veel moeilijke keuzes moest maken van concerten die paralel geprogrammeerd stonden.
