On the occasion of our 2-year relationship, we went to Pauper Paradise. I had already read the book. The performance was beautiful and provided a good picture of the social relations at the time of the Society of Beneficence. The relationship with current social problems such as the child allowance scandal was also enriching. We enjoyed the professionalism of the players, the decor, the pace of the play... in short: highly recommended. Ter gelegenheid van onze 2-jarige relatie zijn we naar het Pauperparadijs geweest. Het boek had ik al gelezen. De voorstelling was prachtig en gaf een goed beeld van de sociale verhoudingen ten tijde van de Maatschappij van Weldadigheid. Ook de relatie met de huidige sociale problemen zoals het kindertoeslagenschandaal was een verrijking. we hebben genoten van de professionaliteit van de spelers, het decor, de vaart in het stuk..... kortom: een aanrader.

Beautiful show in terms of content, play and decor. In particular, we also really liked the update to our time. The connecting explanation was also very nice and useful. The vocals were often impossible for us to understand, even though we were in row 9. Prachtige voorstelling qua inhoud, spel en decor. Vooral ook de actualisering naar onze tijd vonden wij heel goed. Ook heel mooi en nuttig was de verbindende uitleg. De zang was voor ons vaak niet te verstaan, hoewel we op rij 9 zaten.

It was a nice show, unfortunately it was a bit of a noise. A lot of me had fingers in my ears. Not normal! Het was mooi voorstelling, helaas was het wel een tering herrie. Ik heb een groot deel met vingers in mijn oren gezeten. Niet normaal!
