The evening started impressively because the same morning she had written a song about the attack on the Utrecht metro the day before, and she received an extra long applause for it. The world is beautiful again, she sang. She delved into history and talked enthusiastically about how she views it. Among other things, she cited the marching band, which used to run through her village, several times. Then she was happy, then it was party time and the children got everything done with their parents. At the end of the performance, there was actually a fanfare on stage. The audience stood up spontaneously and clapped along. A number of people from the audience were able to pick up their coats on stage and walk after the fanfare. The rest of the audience followed and so we all walked out afterwards. The fanfare went back inside Carré at the back and the audience went home enthusiastically. In short, I will never forget this evening. De avond begon indrukwekkend omdat ze dezelfde morgen nog een lied had geschreven over de aanslag van 1 dag ervoor in de Utrechtse metro, ze kreeg hiervoor een extra lang applaus. De wereld is nu weer mooi, zong ze. Ze dook in de geschiedenis en vertelde vol enthousiasme over hoe ze daar tegenaan kijkt. Onder andere de fanfare, die vroeger door haar dorp liep, haalde ze diverse keren aan. Dan was ze blij, dan was het feest en kregen de kinderen alles bij hun ouders voor elkaar. Aan het eind van de voorstelling kwam er ook echt een fanfare op het podium. Het publiek ging spontaan staan en klapte mee. Een aantal mensen uit het publiek konden hun jas op het podium ophalen mochten achter de fanfare aanlopen. De rest van het publiek volgde en zo liepen we na afloop allemaal buiten. De fanfare ging bij Carré aan de achterkant weer naar binnen en het publiek ging enthousiast richting huis. Kortom deze avond vergeet ik nooit meer.
